Nikon Z6 III Sports Indoor Artificial Settings
The Key Setting
The Z6 III's partially stacked sensor eliminates rolling shutter distortion in electronic shutter mode — something no other full frame mirrorless body in this class can claim. Every competing camera produces jello-like distortion on fast lateral movement when using electronic shutter under artificial lighting. The Z6 III does not. This means completely silent burst shooting at up to 20 frames per second with zero rolling shutter penalty under any indoor sports lighting condition. Go to shooting menu, shutter type, electronic shutter. Enable it with complete confidence. Additionally go into the AF menu, subject detection, set to People, then find 3D Tracking and enable it. This activates the Z6 III's full body subject recognition which maintains lock through player collisions, partial occlusion, and profile angles where the face is not visible. At maximum AF sensitivity the Z6 III reacquires a briefly obscured subject faster than any competing system currently available.

"Silent. Fast. Precise. The operator configured everything before entering the venue. The camera made no sound. The moment was captured before the subject knew a photographer was there."
